Then it’s time to roll up your sleeves and make your own! Choose between hand tools for a classic touch or electric tools if you fancy having a go.

 

Add some personality with a pyrography (wood burning) pen—draw, doodle, or write something cool—then finish it off with your favourite finish.

 

You’ll start with a piece of wood that’s 150mm x 210mm x 3mm—perfect for crafting your very own masterpiece. And yes, you get to take your beautiful cheese board home at the end of the workshop!

Explore the exciting world of laser cutting as you personalise your very own Sun Catcher. You’ll get to watch the laser bring your design to life, then enjoy assembling and decorating it to make it truly unique.

 

Be ready to get a little messy—there’ll be painting, sanding, and plenty of hands-on creativity. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting splashed, tie back long hair, skip the flappy sleeves, and make sure you’re in closed-toed shoes.

 

If you’ve got a laptop, bring it along! If not, no worries—We have spares you can borrow. We’ll be using XTool Creative Space, which is free to download. This workshop offers a hands-on introduction to working with polymer clay. We’ll start by taking a look at how rock candy is made for inspiration, then you’ll get to make your own colourful candy-style beads. Once baked, you’ll use your handmade beads to create a unique piece of jewellery—choose from a bracelet, necklace, or a set of earrings. All items will be finished and ready to take home on the same day.

Introduction to Pewter Casting - 14+ yr olds

Discover the basics of pewter casting in this hands-on beginner-friendly workshop. You’ll learn how to cast pewter to set in a wooden mould and in sand, then trim and clean up your finished pieces. By the end, you’ll have created two pewter charms, which can be turned into a necklace, bracelet, keyring, or another small keepsake.

 

Be prepared to get a little messy! Activities may include sawing, filing metal, and possibly some painting. Please tie back long hair, avoid loose sleeves, and wear closed-toe shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting a bit mucky.

You’ll also learn how to create your own personalised keyring design using Tinkercad, a fun and beginner-friendly 3D design program.

 

Your finished keyring will be printed after the workshop—please note that printing takes time, so your item will be ready for collection the following week, or it can be posted to you for a small additional charge.
